Speech Language Pathologist

Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx – NYC

E. Sholom, Inc. is currently looking for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our NYC team. As an SLP in New York City, you can work alongside our talented clinicians and with our children and families to make a lasting difference. You can also work in your borough of choice as we have positions available in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx. E. Sholom, Inc. is searching for dynamic and devoted providers of Speech Language Pathology (SLP) who are passionate about providing outstanding care and support to Early Intervention children and their families. The most successful Speech Language Pathologist have excellent verbal and writing skills and a positive attitude about providing high quality services to children in need within our Early Intervention (birth to 3 years old) program.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech therapy services and/or evaluations to children from birth to 3 years in their most natural environment
  • Educate family members and caregivers on different intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over
  • Provide services in diverse settings such as patient homes, family day care homes, daycare centers, and/or other community settings
  • Follow Individualized Service Plan, plan ongoing treatment, and interpret goals and treatment plan for parents
  • Prepare progress reports as per program timelines
  • Maintains client records
  • Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and State & Federal regulations) and submit records to agency within established deadlines

ST Requirements:

  • Must have a passion for working with children, families, and therapists.
  • NYS Licensed Speech Language Pathologist
  • Bilingual in Bengali, Spanish, Russian, Urdu, Uzbek, and/or other languages is a plus.
  • Must be self-motivated, a team player, and exercise patience/professionalism.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases including but not limited to driving personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
  • The ability to climb and descend staircases.
  • The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
  • The ability to sit on the floor, kneel, and/ or crawl for extended periods.

Compensation depends on experience and will be discussed during the interview process.
