Special Instruction

Pediatric Special Education Services

At E. SHOLOM, Inc. our Special Educators work in collaboration with the family, service coordinators and other service providers. We also work with parents and caregivers via family training where we provide education and support to assist the family of a child with a disability in understanding their child’s functional developmental needs and to enhance their developmental functioning. Our Special Educators evaluate each child’s overall development in order to identify areas of developmental delay and then design, implement and modify therapeutic family-centered interventions for the child to promote skill acquisition in a variety of areas including:

  • Adaptive development
  • Behavior / self-regulating skills
  • Communicative skills
  • Classroom readiness
  • Interpersonal, Social and Emotional development
  • Play, imitation, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-concept development
