Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx – NYC

Sholom, Inc. is currently looking for a dedicated Social Worker (LCSW) to join our New York City team. As an LMSW provider in NYC EIP, you can work in your borough of choice as we have positions available in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx. Social Workers in our Early Intervention (birth to 3 years old) program will implement various techniques to provide development of cognitive, communication, social and emotional, adaptive, fine and gross motor skills, within home, school, and other community settings. Social Workers will collaborate with other disciplines in order to develop and address goals and outcomes based on each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan. This includes providing families with information, coaching, and educating families on different intervention strategies to help foster each child’s carry over of skills in daily home and community routines. Each Social Workers will be responsible for maintain appropriate documentation and collection of data on interventions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing social work, Special Instruction and/or ABA services to children (ages birth-3) in their most natural environment.
  • Educate family members and caregivers on different intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over.
  • Work in diverse settings as client homes, family day care homes, day care centers, or other community settings
  • Follow Individualized Service Plan, plan ongoing treatment, and interpret goals and treatment plan for parents
  • Prepare progress reports as per program timelines
  • Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and State & Federal regulations) and submit records to agency within established deadlines
LCSW Requirements:

  • Must have a passion for working with children and families
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of New York.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with children birth–5 is preferred.
  • Must be self-motivated, a team player, and exercise patience/professionalism.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases including but not limited to driving personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
  • The ability to climb and descend staircases.
  • The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
  • The ability to sit on the floor, kneel, and/ or crawl for extended periods.

Compensation depends on experience and will be discussed during the interview process.
